Read the period before the amount

The bill can show an FPA rate, the units to which it applies, and a reference month. Use those printed values together. Do not assume the current billing month’s units are always the correct base.

Positive, negative or absent

A positive line increases the bill; a negative line is a credit. A blank or absent FPA is not the same as a verified zero rate. The calculator therefore defaults it to “not included.”

What to compare

  • Reference month and applicable units
  • Rate per unit and total FPA line
  • Any separately printed tax or duty on the adjustment
  • The relevant NEPRA monthly decision
