It is not the base unit rate
QTA is an adjustment line with its own approved period and application timing. A base-tariff table alone cannot predict it.
Before entering QTA
- Copy the printed rate and sign exactly
- Confirm which units the bill uses
- Keep a negative adjustment negative
- Do not substitute an older quarter’s rate
Why the calculator leaves it blank
“Not included” is more honest than zero when the applicable notification and bill period are unknown. The issued-bill explainer can still reconcile any QTA amount already printed.
